1. You know Mike’s birthday is on the eighth of April.

Su Hai’s birthday is on the eleventh of May.

And my birthday is on the twentieth of June.

Read the sentences in your group. How to express birthdays?

But what are these numbers?

2. Look at these numbers again. What rules can you find? Talk in two.

3. Now read the numbers with your partner and try to say their ordinal numbers.

4. How do they change? Still add “th”?

Now they are in different cakes. Please discuss in your group and find the rules.

5. You know the ordinal numbers well. But sometimes we write them in a simple way.
